What Are Your Rates?
We offer affordable and customized couples counseling, sex therapy, intimacy and love coaching and individual psychotherapy.
ABOUT OUR RATES
Each of our practitioners have different rates. This is because of the wide variety of experience and offerings that each clinician has. All of our couples counselors, sex therapists, intimacy coaches and psychologists have at least a masters or doctoral level degree in addition to specialized training in sexology and or relationship modalities. We can connect you with someone to do the initial intake and they can answer more of your questions.
Balance Accumulation
In our field, we are under legal and ethical obligation not to let a balance accumulate substantially. This is one of the reasons we require all sessions to be paid for at the time of service.
If the balance rises substantially this can create a debtor-creditor relationship, which, together with the therapist-patient relationship, can constitute a dual relationship.
Refunds
Refunds are not provided for services rendered.
INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT
Please note that San Francisco Intimacy & Sex Therapy Centers does not work with insurance panels, but does provide therapy invoices to the client to submit to their insurance for out-of-network reimbursement after full payments. Services may be covered by your health insurance or employee benefit plan if they offer out of network services. Please keep in mind that all insurance companies require a diagnosis to approve your claim. If you do have out of network coverage, we are happy to give you an invoice (called a superbill) to submit to your provider.
PLEASE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE PRIOR TO ATTENDING YOUR FIRST THERAPEUTIC SESSION.
San Francisco Intimacy & Sex Therapy Center is a boutique style private therapy center, rather than a managed-care driven mental health clinic.
We work for you, not the insurance companies. We offer San Francisco Based Couples Counseling, Marriage Counseling and Sex Therapy from a stance of holistic health, rather than a place of pathology or diagnosis.
We will work to meet your needs
We strive to offer a premium couples counseling and sex therapy experience without involvement from insurance companies or the various entities they now employ or outsource to for managing their electronic data. However, we also understand that without insurance reimbursement, the therapeutic support you need may not be financially accessible. Therefore, we are happy to provide you with a Superbill (please note it will be required by the insurance company to contain a clinical diagnosis). Only licensed practitioners are able to provide Superbills.
